yo tengo en la oficina uno igual, y funciono tiqui taca con RedHat 9 y
con Fedora. no sera problema con tu tarjeta de video? si no levanta el X
no creo que sea problema de la pantalla. en todo caso adjunto mi XF86Config.
prueba con el driver vesa para la tarjeta de video y ve si te funciona.
