Gracias por la ayuda, pero el problema no es de volumen. Según he visto en
varios foros como este:

Hi,
I experiencing a pretty strange problem with my sound card (Intel Corp.
82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio) on Mandrake 9.1.
This card works fine with Oss i810_audio driver so it's not a matter of
life. Still it's quite confusing.
The problem :
There is no sound AND apparently everything is fine !
-module snd-intel8x0 loads correctly (as well as all relevant snd-*
 modules)
-no relevant message in /var/log/messages
-sound level correct in gnome-volume-control (and alsamixer)
-xmms doesn't notice anything and plays apparently well
-of course the speakers are correctly plugged (I even tried to plug them
 in the two other plugs)
Lately I compiled alsa 0.9.6 and it doesn't change anything, as expected.
Does anybody out there has any idea ?
Thanks a lot.
