como hisiste para instalar el druver de nvidia?

./NVIDIA_lalalero que te dan los mismo de nvidia?
una de tu distribucion?

mata las X y lo ejecutas. sigue las instrucciones en pantalla

debe quedar bien instalado. pidele que lo compile y que no baje los
binarios ya compilados.

el xorg.conf sacale el dri, revisa las frecuencias de tu monitor y
deja todo el resto tal cual
