Applications Specialist

The Application Specialist will contribute to the successful and
timely deployment of the TrakCare product by providing application
knowledge and product delivery services in the functional areas of
product implementation, requirements scoping, field design
documentation and change request testing.  The AS will act as an
"expert" product resource for customers and will be expected to
communicate and prioritize customer requirements to other areas of the

Highly Advantageous Experience:
Understanding and experience with Hospital Information, Patient
Administration (PAS), and Clinical Information Systems
Knowledge of PAS and/or clinical healthcare products or laboratory preferred.
Understanding of the importance of Health Informatics standards,
reporting requirements and legislative controls

The Technical Specialist will be required to perform custom
development tasks and provide support for the technical implementation
tools of InterSystems TrakCare and related products.
The Technical Specialist will be responsible for site specific
software development activities and to ensure that the software
satisfies project specifications and is delivered and deployed in line
with project requirements.
The Technical Specialist must be available to visit client sites (e.g.
hospitals/laboratories) and implementation partners for technical
support and/or to provide technical training. International travel may
be required.

Liaise with client or business analyst in regard to ongoing
enhancement requests
Liaise with client or business analyst on any requests for new or
modified reports
Advise and assist the TrakHealth Project Managers during implementation
Manage the resolution of any outstanding acceptance issues before and
after project go-live
Develop custom/site specific software such as JavaScript, user defined
functions, interfaces, reports, extracts, data migration scripts and
