linux access point

[Hantar Aguad]

Estimados,

Escribo por un pequeño problema al confiurar un ap en linux.

Me he comprado una tarjeta con chip:
Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express 
Adapter (rev 01)

baje el driver madwifi-ng-txpower-current.tar.gz lo compile e instale.

luego:
iwconfig ath0 essid Ubuntu channel 6 mode master rate 1M nick ap

... cofigure un DHCP, hasta aqui todo bien

El cliente se conecta, le asigna una ip, mascara, brodcast, router, etc.

pero a la hora de hacer ping:
Destination Host Unreachable

y obiamente no hay conectividad ni coneccion a internet ni nada.
