VPN y Network-Manager

Hola a todos:

Debe haberle pasado a alguien más que a mi, pero las soluciones que he
encontrado hasta ahora no funcionan.
Uso Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn, y para administrar las conexiones a red,
Network-Manager.
La VPN la estoy haciendo contra (¿?) un firewall TippingPoint X505
usando PPTP.
Entiendo que la VPN en el firewall está bien configurada porque me puedo
conectar con clientes Win2, con un 3Com Office Connect VPN Firewall y
hasta con mi propio Ubuntu si desactivo la encriptación por ambos
extremos... pero no es la gracia :)
Al hacer un "tail message", encuentro lo siguiente.
