AYUDA CON WEBCAM

Hola mundo!!

hace tiempo que trato de configurar mi webcam en
linux, el problema es que mi webcam es mulita, no
tiene ni marca, solo dice "webcam" y como  me la
regalaron asi que mejor ni me quejo :D
En windowsxp la instale con el cd de instalacion y me
la reconoce con el nombre de

PC Camera (SN9C102) ver 4.12.0.0
en el kernel acabo de encontrar este driver y lo
compile dentro del kernel 

he tratado de configurarla siguiendo varios HOWTO en
especial este

pero no consigo que funcione, al tratar de hacer 

mplayer tv:// -tv

con camorama me dice:
 "could not connect to video device (/dev/video0)"

tb trate con /dev/video, etc. y nada
ojo que no es problema de mplayer, creo :D

aca va informacion de mis dispositivos USB y las
configuraciones del kernel de video y usb. si me falta
otra informacion que pueda proporcionar para que me
puedan ayudar, por favor diganme, ya que no se de
donde mas obtener info y como tendria que hacerlo.
