modem Amigo CA-80U (usb)

Hola Lista...

Les hago una consulta:

Estoy configurando un modem Amigo CA-80U (usb) y
cuando ejecuto cxstart.sh aparece lo siguiente:

root:~# cxstart.sh

I found ADSL modem with VendorID = 0572 & ProductID =
cb00

y ejecutando ifconfig,

aparece la interfase nas0; el problema es que en RX y
TX los valores estan en 0 (ya probe haciendo ping a la
conexion y tambien a unos ip (dns) del isp).

Ademas segun tengo entendido cuando uno ejecuta:
 
root:~# cat /proc/net/atm/pvc 

deberia aparecer info de la conexion y a mi no me
aparece. Me doy cuenta que tengo conectividad, pero a
pesar que despues del cxstart.sh, ejecute:

pppd call nombreConexion

y el resultado fue el mismo, es decir, no puedo
navegar. Agradezco la ayuda de Uds...

PD: Kernel 2.4.23 (probe tambien con el 2.6.9 y el
resultado fue el mismo), sobre Debian 3.0 Woody. Si
