Problemas para reiniciar KDE desde RedHat

No me borré el tmp, sólo su contenido, al parecer habia un archivo 
Socket que ahora no se cómo recuperarlo y ese socket sale en los mensajes
asi:

Me huele que borraste /tmp (el directorio) y no lo que habia dentro.
