AKD Project:
The AKD Project targets the design of solutions able to proactively understand the behavior of systems and networks in order to prevent vulnerable states. To that end, we aim at integrating knowledge discovery techniques into autonomic systems to deliver intelligent self-configuration and self-protection mechanisms. The results of this project will benefit not only end-users but also the scientific community as a whole by providing solid foundations for the development of more secure, scalable, and reliable system management approaches.

Seminar on Data Mining and Cybersecurity:
In the context of the second project meeting to be held in Universidad Técnica Federico Santa Mar ía (UTFSM) Chile during the first week of August, the AKD project has arranged a series of talks to be presented by its members to the UTFSM academic community.

Subject:
The content of the talks will be related to those of our project, this is, the use of data mining and knowledge discovery techniques in the fields of cybersecurity and autonomic networks.

Place: Aula tecnológica, Edificio F - Universidad Técnica Federico Santa Mar ía, Valparaíso
Days: 4 and 5 August
From: 9 hrs
Until: 18 hrs
