  Este es un extracto del INSTALL de RAV8



  Bajar:

  ftp://bsd.ufro.cl/pub/FreeBSD-cl/RAV8



  1.      Install RAV AntiVirus v8 for Sendmail
  =       =====================================
          Obtener:

          ftp://bsd.ufro.cl/pub/FreeBSD-cl/RAV8/ravsendmailfbsd.i386.tar.gz

          Descomprimelo

          gzip -c -d ravsendmailfbsd.i386.tar.gz | tar xvf -

          ingresa a RAV_for_Sendmail/
          cd RAV_for_Sendmail/

          y corre el instalador
          ./install.sh

          Seleciona la opcion 2 (FULL ) y luego 0 para salir


  2.      El siguiente paso realiza una copia del sendmail
          ===================================
          cp /usr/sbin/sendmail   /usr/sbin/sendmail.orig

          Realiza una copia de tu sendmail.cf
          ======================
          cp /etc/mail/sendmail.cf   /etc/Mail/sendmail.cf.orig


  A)      Modificando sendmail.cf
  ====================================

  a)      In "Ruleset 0" section, the line:

  R$*         $: $>Parse1 $1      final parsing
          must be replaced with:

  R$*         $#ravsendmail $@$1 $:$1

  !!!NOTE:    attention with tabs:"R$*<tab><tab>$#ravsendmail $@$1 $:$1"
  Yo particularmente no vi esta linea y tuve muchos problemas :
  Arrancaba RAV y encolaba pero sendmail tradicional no me dejara enviar
correos a mis usuarios


  b)      En la Sección  "MAILER DEFINITIONS" Agrege:

  Mravsendmail,   P=/usr/local/rav8/bin/ravsendmail, F=ClADFMSPhu, S=0, R=0,
          T=DNS/RFC822/X-Unix,
          A=ravsendmail $h $f $u $i

  c)      Escriba las siguientes lineas en la sección "Format of headers":
  HX-RAV-AntiVirus: This e-mail has been scanned for viruses on host: $j
          if you want that scanned mails have such a information on their
header.
          Be careful with its position among other lines. For example:

  H?P?Return-Path: <$g>
  HReceived: $?sfrom $s $.$?_($?s$|from $.$_)
          $.by $j ($v/$Z)$?r with $r$. id $i$?u
          for $u; $|;
          $.$b
  HX-RAV-AntiVirus: This e-mail has been scanned for viruses on host: $j
  H?D?Resent-Date: $a
  H?D?Date: $a
  H?F?Resent-From: $?x$x <$g>$|$g$.
  H?F?From: $?x$x <$g>$|$g$.
  H?x?Full-Name: $x
  # HPosted-Date: $a

  B)      Modificando sendmail.cf.orig
  =========================================

  Cambiar las lineas:

  #O QueueDirectory=/var/spool/mqueue
  O QueueDirectory=/var/spool/rav/sendmail

  #O StatusFile=/var/log/sendmail.st
  O StatusFile=/var/log/sendmail.st.orig

  #O PidFile=/var/run/sendmail.pid
  O PidFile=/var/run/sendmail.pid.orig

  4.      DATOS
  =       =======================

          Generalmente tu sendmail opera con un q30m

          ahora cuenta con un sendmail.orig

          para activarlo revisa en /usr/local/etc/rc.d

          debe existir un archivo: ravmail.sh

          Ejemplo:

          ftp://bsd.ufro.cl/pub/FreeBSD-cl/RAV8/ravmail.sh

          y otro que debe contener las lineas:

          /usr/sbin/sendmail.orig -C/etc/mail/sendmail.cf.orig -q5m

          Ejemplo:
          ftp://bsd.ufro.cl/pub/FreeBSD-cl/RAV8/queue_rav8.sh

          Esto dos archivos deben estar en /usr/local/etc/rc.d
          y con permiso de ejecución.


          Listo

          Ahora tus correos demoran aproximadamente 5 minutos en llegar a
ser enviados por ravsendmail

          otra cosa se debe hacer un cron periodico para actualizar las
definiciones de virus, se llame:

          /usr/local/rav8/bin/ravupdate.sh

          los archivos que trae los guarda en :

          /usr/local/rav8/rave ... revisa las fechas si se actualizan ...

          La configuración se encuantra en /usr/local/rav8/etc

          el archivo es ravmd.conf , y en este mismo directorio se coloca la
llave.


  NOSOTROS HEMOS TENIDO MUY BUENA EXPERIENCIA CON ESTE PRODUCTO...
